ABOUT JAMES HOGG TRANSPORT REFRIGERATION

We are the largest transport refrigeration repair company independently based in Scotland.

We specialise in the repair and maintenance of refrigeration units primarily fixed to commercial vehicles. We were recently awarded PACE service partner of the year 2015.

Launched in 2008, PACE measures the performance of Carrier Transicold’s network service partners against 26 rigorous key performance indicators (KPIs) spanning 40 individual service standards. KPIs are monitored in real-time via unique web management software and include planned maintenance completion rates, breakdown response times, first time fixes and spare parts availability.

We are committed to providing high standards of customer service and we aim to deliver on our promises.

Our professional staff are factory trained by Carrier Transicold and have access to all the latest training, information, tooling and processes concerning their product. Our Service partner status allows us to keep up to date with future changes concerning processes or regulations within the industry allowing us to offer you up to date informed advice.

We pride ourselves on offering a quality, cost effective and dependable service and are members of EEF, REFCOM and our H&S processes are also independently audited.

OUR HISTORY

An American engineer and inventor Willis Carrier produced the world’s first air conditioning system in 1902 in Buffalo, New York. Just four years prior to that, across the Atlantic in Scotland, James Hogg started a coal merchants business delivering supplies around his home town by horse and cart. Back then nobody would have guessed that 85 years later there would be a common denominator between these subsequent businesses.

Over five succeeding family generations, James Hogg’s business focus evolved from motorised coal deliveries into road haulage/commercial vehicle repair & latterly transport refrigeration becoming main dealers for Carrier Transicold in the late 1980s. Having operated through some of history’s greatest triumphs & tragedies the business has continually evolved and progressed. We look forward to doing the same with the future changes within transport refrigeration in the coming years.
